This 100% printed silk satin scarf aims to raise awareness of the historical and present spirit of resistance of Puerto Rican women against our ongoing social, political and colonial conflict. Amanda is a firm believer in visual resistance when done ethically, with purpose and intention. This one, specifically, aims to create space for conversations needed to question and dismantle the patriarchy through bold print. The sentiment of these phrases are directed towards building a world in which all women, including trans women, queer women, black women and women of color feel safe, included and represented.
In an attempt to actively support local organizations directly involved in solutions to our current state of emergency of gender-based violence in Puerto Rico, 50% of the profits made from the sale of this scarf will be allocated to Casa Protegida Julia de Burgos.
